Our Production Planning team helps ensure that manufacturing activities progress in a controlled, efficient and timely manner. This application area covers roles involving production-data analysis, costing and capacity reporting and the monitoring of manufacturing processes. General Production Planning and Industrial Engineering Application: This shared application form covers two industrial-engineering career areas. Our Costing and Methods teams work with technical draughtspeople and mechanical engineers to prepare bills of materials, material-cost calculations, production-time studies, capacity reports, labour data and cost analyses for products entering serial production. Our Production Planning and Control teams convert orders into work orders, communicate manufacturing schedules to the shop floor and monitor delivery commitments in coordination with production supervisors.
