MTF 125 - Silent Pipe Clamp With Coach Screw

MTK® Pipe Clamps
MTF 125 Silent Pipe Clamp With Coach Screw product image

Silent Pipe Clamp With Coach Screw is a two-piece steel pipe clamp designed for secure direct fixing of pipes to concrete, masonry, and other suitable solid substrates. The clamp is equipped with an integrated Ø7x70 coach screw. Installation requires drilling a suitable hole, inserting the correct plastic wall plug, and screwing the coach screw firmly into the substrate before the pipe is clamped in position. Its blue acoustic TPE rubber lining, with a hardness of 55 ±5 Shore A, absorbs vibration, reduces structure-borne noise, prevents direct metal-to-pipe contact, and protects the pipe surface against mechanical damage. Optional EPDM lining is available for applications requiring enhanced temperature and chemical resistance. Manufactured from high-strength cold-rolled steel with an electro-galvanized (zinc-plated) finish, the clamp provides reliable corrosion resistance, long service life, and stable performance in sanitary plumbing, wastewater, heating, cooling, HVAC, mechanical rooms, and noise-sensitive building installations. The standard operating temperature range is -50 °C to +110 °C.

Installation and Maintenance

Positioning and Drilling
Determine the pipe route according to the project drawings. Mark the fixing points on the wall or another suitable solid substrate while maintaining the required pipe alignment and slope. Drill holes suitable for the plastic wall plugs and the integrated Ø7x70 coach screws.

Installing the Plastic Wall Plug and Coach Screw
Insert the plastic wall plug into the drilled hole. Screw the integrated coach screw securely into the wall plug until the connection is firmly fixed. Ensure that the coach screw is straight and correctly aligned before positioning the clamp around the pipe.

Pipe Placement and Clamping
Open the two-piece silent pipe clamp and place the pipe inside the acoustic TPE rubber lining. Close the clamp arms and tighten the side bolts gradually and evenly using a suitable torque value. The acoustic lining protects the pipe surface, prevents direct metal-to-pipe contact, reduces vibration, and minimizes structure-borne noise transmission.

Tightening and Inspection
Verify that the clamp is securely fixed to the wall through the coach screw and plastic wall plug. Check the pipe alignment and slope, and confirm that the side bolts are tightened evenly without excessively compressing or deforming the acoustic lining.

Maintenance
Periodically inspect the clamp body, coach screw, wall plug, side bolts, and acoustic lining. In corrosive environments, clean exposed metal surfaces regularly and check the security of all connections. Replace any worn, damaged, or deformed component when necessary to maintain long-term mechanical and acoustic performance.

Application Areas

Noise-Sensitive Buildings
Designed for residential buildings, hotels, hospitals, schools, offices, healthcare facilities, and other projects where the reduction of structure-borne noise and vibration is important.

Sanitary Plumbing and Wastewater Systems
Suitable for supporting sanitary plumbing, drainage, wastewater, and general building-service pipework while protecting the pipe surface and reducing noise transmission to the building structure.

Heating, Cooling and HVAC Services
Used for heating circuits, chilled-water lines, HVAC pipework, fan-coil connections, and mechanical service lines where secure direct wall fixing and improved acoustic comfort are required.

Mechanical Rooms and Service Shafts
Suitable for technical rooms, service shafts, and occupied areas where pipes must be fixed directly to a suitable solid substrate with a coach screw and plastic wall plug.
